“Bags of Love” Project

We would like to thank OzHarvest for their donation of perishable food.

We are seeking interested sponsors for the “Bags of Love” project.
Sponsorship can be in the form of financial or non-perishable goods.

Registration Details
To qualify for a “Bags of Love” hamper you must be an injured worker within the South Australia WorkCover system. Please contact W.I.R.C. on reception@wirc.net.au for further information.

When given a fortnight’s supply of food an injured worker asked “What is all of this” to which the response came “Bags of Love”. Hence the emergency food relief project was given a name to reflect what is very much required by many work injured South Australians.

Workplace injuries happen across every industry. Work Injured Resource Connection recognizes that regardless of industry sector, the most serious and complex claims can result in loss of control over your own finances, even your own life. “Bags of Love” aim to provide basic food supplies as often as is possible to ease the burden on the injured worker and the injured worker families.

Ms Ann Bressington remains the major financial supporter of the “Bags of Love” emergency food project along with the perishable products donated three times a week from OzHarvest, we are now able to support many injured workers and their families.

Injured workers can register to become part of the “Bags of Love” project; however it is important to understand that at present it is not possible for Work Injured Resource Connection to meet every request. It is also important that injured workers know that every effort is being made on their behalf to gain the sponsorship required to fill each request.
